The Institute's approach to epilepsy is unique, utilizeing inter-disciplinary efforts with a team of professionals we provide optimum service to more than 6,000 patients from all parts of the United States and some other countries. We provide service to all ages including children and senior citizens. Services provided to our patients include diagnosis, treatment, long-term care, education, medical, psychiatric, and pharmacy assistance programs. In addition to epilepsy treatment, specialized services include investigational drug research, vagus nerve stimulator therapy, neuropsychological testing and services, psychiatric intervention, EEG services, and social services consultations.

Patients benefit by virtue of a team approach in this comprehensive program. The staff of professionals include two Epileptologists (MDs), RN Administrator, RN Psychiatry Nurse, EEG Technicians, Drug Study Coordinator, Attorney/Social Worker, two Psychologists, Psychiatrist, Behavioral Pediatrician, Insurance and Account Specialist, Support Staff, and Volunteers.

Spanish interpretation is also provided.

Our Team

Let us introduce you to Brain Behavior Connection at Epilepsy Institute of North Carolina, our team approach to helping individuals become successful when problems with the brain and resulting behavior develop.

Our goal is to provide the evaluations and opinions of our multidisciplinary team. We discuss together and blend these into a holistic, single, clearly understood picture which can act a direction map for interventions in the life of an individual child, adolescent, or adult.
