Neuropsychological Testing

The Brain Behavior Connection (BBC) group at Epilepsy Institute often utilizes what we refer to as Neuropsychological testing. Psychological testing, alone, can be thought of as a means of determining what maladaptive reactions underlie destructive and self-destructive behavior. Psychologists have designed a number of testing instruments to make this determination to help us diagnose and heal unhealthy child and adult moods, attitudes, and behaviors.

But what is Neuropsychological testing? As the name implies, the focal points here are neurons in the brain. Neuropsychological testing takes psychological testing a step further to determine if there are any neurological reasons for impairment of learning and/or mood and behavior. Many Neuropsychological Tests have been well validated and can often provide the best answers to questions ranging from school performance to ADD, anxiety, and depression.

Here at Brain Behavior Connection, our team of Psychologists, MDs, social worker, and learning specialists work together to provide the appropriate tests but also, as importantly, to explain and implement recommendations based upon results of these tests.

If you wish to learn more about Neuropsychological testing, please call us at the number below. Mention that you saw this description on our website, and a licensed clinician will be happy to speak with you.
